Journey to the Mexican Megalopolis

Jovis Verlag (Germany), 2008

Trilingual edition: English, Spanish, German

The catalogue of the exhibition of the book of the city…

The Citámbulos project took over my life for several years just when I was meant to be working on my PhD. It began with the ‘Guide to the Marvels’ of Mexico City, an anti-guidebook begun with some friends when I was living at the heart of that megalopolis. It expanded into a multi-disciplinary exhibition that was shown at major centres for urbanism and architecture in Europe, before being mounted in even vaster and sensorially more overwhelming form at the National Anthropology Museum in Mexico City itself. My role was as co-curator, creator of some of the content, and co-editor and translator of the texts.
